HEINIGER – a family affair
For three generations, the name Heiniger has stood for high‑quality animal shearing products “Made in Switzerland”. Founded in 1946, our company evolved under the leadership of my great‑uncle Hermann Heiniger and my father Werner Heiniger from a trading business into a specialised manufacturer with a global presence.
Our close relationship with our customers shapes the way we think and act. The experience of our subsidiaries in Australia, England, and New Zealand flows directly into development and production in Switzerland and forms the foundation of the trust placed in us by professional shearers around the world.
Heiniger is a family affair – not only at the management level. Many of our employees have been with the company for decades. Their expertise, their care, and our clear focus on animal shearing are key to our success.
In 2026, we celebrate 80 years of Heiniger. This anniversary is both a motivation and a commitment for me: to continue developing products that impress through quality, durability, and reliability, and that make daily work with animals easier.
